Extreme Company Outings -Teamwork Building

By: Law Offices of Peter J. Lamont

Teamwork is essential to the success of any organization and it often takes spending time outside of the office for employees to really connect in the best way possible.  It is good for management to encourage this and often they opt for company outings to build relationships, but who said they need to be boring?  Here are some unusual ideas to really get your employees talking.
Zip Line
Short of gaining the ability to fly, taking a zip line tour is the best view of nature anyone will get.  Those with a fear of heights will need to stay home, but everyone else will have a great time gliding across the tops of trees.  Some courses even offer parallel lines for racing purposes.

Go Kart Racing
Give everyone the chance to drive as maniacally as they want without the consequence of getting pulled over.  A little friendly competition never hurt anyone as they zip around the race course looking to get that checkered flag.  At least someone will have bragging rights for the next few weeks.

Of the three mentioned here, this is the best opportunity for releasing some aggression and stress.  Teamwork means so much more when failing to work cooperatively results in getting shot and taken out of the game.  Split up the teams in creative ways such as departmental conflict or even challenge another company for industry pride.
