You Be the Judge: Using a Chair to Save Your Shoveled Parking Spot

This winter has been one of the worst in recent years. With residential street parking hard to come by, people shovel out their spots and then block them off with cones, chairs etc.

So, here are the issues for you to decide.

1.  Is it legal to use a chair to block off a spot on a public street that you shoveled?

2. Is the person who placed the chair on the street responsible if someone is injured or if a car is damaged because of it?

You be the judge. I'll post the answers Monday morning.
